Description
Part of a series of aerial views of Wichita Falls. Over 500 homes were evacuated in the city after six-inch rolled through the southern part of the city, causing Lake Wichita to pour its excess water into Holliday Creek, creating floods that forced evacuations. Published in the evening edition, August 3, 1950. Photo taken from Ritchey Flying Service Plane.
