Description

Image shows a home being evacuated by motorboat in Wichita Falls after six-inch rolled through the southern part of the city, causing Lake Wichita to pour its excess water into Holliday Creek, creating floods that forced evacuations. In the boat are Mrs. John Street, Mrs. Fred Street, and Mrs. J. C. Monroe of Duncan Oklahoma, who was visiting the streets, and J. H. Bancom. Published in the morning edition, August 3, 1950. Photo taken from Ritchey Flying Service Plane.
