Description
Image shows an aerial view of Wichita Falls after six-inch rolled through the southern part of the city, creating floods that forced the evacuation of homes. Near the center of the image, a flatbed truck can be seen, stalled by the high water. In some parts, the water was more than waist deep. The bottom left corner of the image is slightly obscured due to damage to the negative. Published in the morning edition, August 3, 1950. Photo taken from Ritchey Flying Service Plane.
