Description
The image shows four-month-old Carol Tessnear, as she lays in a hospital bed. During this time, her father, Andrew Tessnear, who had been arrested on charges related to drinking, was under investigation by the police on a complaint of child abuse from an allegation that he had been mistreating her. The baby was taken to Fort Worth Children's hospital after her father's arrest. Published in the evening edition, July 28, 1950.
