This image is a copy of a photo of the ten-year-old Barbara Eline Freeman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Augustus Macleod Freeman, who died from polio. She was the ninth person to die from polio at the time of publication. The lower right hand corner of the image has the words "By Gold Torie" written on it. Published in the morning edition, July 29, 1950.
