Description
Ellis County cotton is piling up at the gins and compress and the seed is far in excess of storage space at the cottonseed oil mills. More seed arrives at Midlothian's Producers Co-operative Cotton Oil Mill. Two of the four huge seed mounds are at Southland Cotton mill in Waxahachie. There are compresses at Waxahachie and Ennis and 43 gins in the county to handle this year's near-record crop. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition November 22, 1953.
