Hancock Park, on the banks of Sulphur Creek, from which Lampasas draws its water supply, is a popular year round resort. its 109 acres provide a nine-hole golf course, covered and made sporty by stately oaks; picnic grounds, a tabernacle area, a spring-fed swimming pool and a hostess house, left, where there are dressing and game rooms and a dance floor.
