Hill County business men also are growing crops - whiskers, to celebrate the county's centennial. Left to right, J. B. Pierson, Roy Bishop Junior and C. W. Taylor, all of Hillsboro. Taylor is a member of the centennial arrangements committee. Background, part of 7,500 to 8,000 bales of cotton stored on Hill County vacant lots, awaiting warehouse space. Hillsboro and Hill County are preparing to celebrate the county's first 100 years in existence and its first 1000,000 bales cotton crop since 1931.
