Thomas Ray Culver, right, his auto loaded with personal belongings, looks toward the grass fire moving swiftly toward his home near Forestburg in Montague County. Neighbor Bob Kuykendall, who helped Culver evacuate, consoles his friend. Jacksboro firemen managed to save the house in which Culver lives alone.
