Hail, piled 14 inches deep on Fleet Circle in Arlington, is removed by Trueman Threadgill, operating the mechanical loader, and John Jennings with the shovel. Arlington Street Superintendent M. D. Coke estimates that 60 cubic yards of hailstones were removed from a one-block area.
