Morris McDonald, 30, left, and Robert Lee Campbell, 21, gaze toward outer space Tuesday from their Tarrant County jail cell after writing President Eisenhower and offering to be passengers on the first manned space ship. McDonald is under a 25 year sentence for armed robbery and Campbell is awaiting trial on a burglary charge.
