Mrs. Ruth E. Robertson, of 3008 North Clinton, shook her head sadly as she thought of it. Her savings is $3, 450 gone. Saved little by little over a 10-year period from her paychecks, as a grocery clerk, small amounts put aside from her widow's pension checks. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, June 28, 1950.
