Description

P. R. Bond stands here with some of the 105 choice feeder calves which he sold at the Fort Worth Stockyards at 31 cents a pound to Sam Rodgers for shipment to Ike Rowand, feeder at Montgomery, Illinois. The calves weighed 523 pounds and were creep fed for six months on oats and cottonseed cake and brought to the 500-pound weight at a cost of less than $9 per head. They were rised on the Bond ranch near Saginaw. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, evening edition June 27, 1950.
