Pictured today are some elementary school children, and pictures they drew of their impressions of the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show. Sketches and lettering show the influence of public school art classes, in which children are encouraged to express themselves. "Ride 'Em Cowboy" by Karen Knox, daughter of Mrs. D. D. Knox, 2901 Sappington Place. She is 11 years old and attends Mary Louise Phillips School. "Bucking Horse" by Calvin Currie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred L. Currie, 1125 Scenic Court. He is 10 years old and attends Oakhurst School.
