Rabbi Isadore Garsek of Congregation Ahavath Shalom was named the B'nai B'rith Man of the year during a presentation at Ahavath Sholom Center Sunday night. Rabbi Garsek has contributed far and beyond for the community. Garsek was also cited for his service as president of the Kallah of Texas rabbis, as regional president of the Zionist Organization of America, his work with the United Jewish Appeal and with the Jewish Federation of Fort Worth, as chairman of the Jewish Social Service Agency, as board member of the Sunshine Haven and the Jewish Children's Home Service in New Orleans.
