Last year when H. M. (Doc.) Messer, left, was in Tyler for a stock show tour he weighed 410 pounds. Thursday he was down to 30, and still the hula hoop Tyler Optimists gave him wouldn't go on. Mrs. Rose Corley gave up trying. At right is Jack Masets, president of the Tyler Optimists Club.
