Description
End Of The Hickman - Workmen using a wrecking crane have begun outside demolition work on the old Hickman Hotel, 515 W. 5th, to make way for a new motor bank and parking garage to be erected on the site by the First National Bank. View is northwest from the Texas Electric Service Company Building. Razing will be completed in about 70 days. Ace Lumber and Wrecking Company is doing demolition. The 150-room building was built in 1928. A smaller hotel began operating on the site in 1919.
