Description
J. M. Wren, 46-year-old Houston drilling contractor, will open his campaign for governor with a statewide radio broadcast from Fort Worth. Wren is for complete segregation, $100 per month pensions for old folks, bonus for veterans, stopping oil imports, a tax on gas leaving the state, better salaries for school teachers, now new state taxes and he promises to save the Texas tidelands "at all costs." Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition June 25, 1950.
