Miss Shirley Jo Brown, James Kelly Evans Wed Miss Shirley Jo Brown became the bride of James Kelly Evans at 3 P. M. Saturday in the Chapel of Rosen Heights Baptist Church. Reverand Earl Allen, pastor, read the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Brown of 619 Oaklawn Drive, parents of the bride, were hosts at a reception in their home. The bridegroom's mother is Mrs. Lacy Evans of 2521 Colombus. Miss Darla Brown was her cousin's maid of honor. Best man was Herman Parr. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, carried a bouquet of red roses on a white Bible. An heirloom gold bracelet worn by the bride was borrowed from her great-aunt, Mrs. Reid Rice. The bride wore a white lace sheath dress with a rounded decolletage and brief sleeves complemented by long white gloves. Mr. and Mrs. Evans will live at 406 N. W. 20th street. The bride is a graduate of North Side High School. Mr. Evans attendd Mississippi State University, where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.
