Area Future Bright, Firm's Head Says Business and industrial growth in and near Fort Worth during the last few eras and plans for still greater expansion make this area's future a bright one in the opinion of the man who heads one of the world's largest electrical supply firms. He is W. E. Henges of New York, president of Graybar Electric Company. Henges was here Friday for a conference with district and branch officials of the company and the sales force for this territory. Business has been showing slight improvement during the last quarter in the electric supply trade, Henges said, and he is expecting to continue on a gradual scale in 1959. "Perhaps the most enthusiastic way I could express our firm's confidence in Fort Worth and the area we serve from here is to say that our branch here has just renewed its lease for 10 years on the 26,000 square feet of floor space we now occupy," he observed. The Fort Worth branch of Graybar has 28 employees including personnel attached to a sub-branch at Arlington. The company has more than 140 such branches in the United States. The Graybar group's meeting here was for the most part a digest of the company's new cataloga 1,628-page illustrated listing of the products of more than 300 leading manufacturers in the nation, with items ranging from wall switches to king-sized equipment for traffic signal systems and industrial plants. In the meeting with Henges were V. A. Elmbad of Dallas, district manager; Earl Hoff, branch manager, and John Pope, sales manager.
