Description
Opera in Europe was one of the satisfactions Mrs. Ruth Burgess Tillman, 3111 Lipscomb found in her "dream of a life time" trip to Europe. Just back, her dark eyes glow when she tells of seeing and hearing "Die Valkyrie" in Convent Garden in London; of attending production of "Faust" at L'Opera in Paris, and of a concert played by Artur Rubenstein at La Scala in Milan. Mrs. TIllman had wanted to go to Europe ever since she was a little girl. She made up her mind to "go it alone" after reading a book by the title, "Going It Alone, Lady." She also got another guide book called "Hand Me Down" from a steamship line and set about making her plans.
