Slate of Officers Installed by Knights Templar Unit L. V. Washam of 3111 Grover was elected eminent commander of Southside Commandery No. 83, Knights Templar, at the Southside Masonic Temple Thursday night. Washam, a member of the commandery eight years, has served in every elective post of the body. He is past high priest of Southside Chapter No. 378, Royal Arch Masons, and a past thrice illustrious master of Sotuhside Council No. 315, Royal and Select Masters. Other officers named were William A. Gill, generalissimo; Henry F. Hereford, captain general; George W. Riggs, senior warden; Robert L. Hutchison, junior warden; Clarence G. King, prelate; Glenn Bollinger, P. C., treasurer, and Wallace McKenzie, P. C. recorder. Also, Spencer Kemplin, standard bearer; W. R. Mayo, sword bearer; Frank O. James, warder; Joe A. Tomlinson, sentinel; Charles D. Hargrove, Henry W. Warden and C. W. Timmons, guards; and Harris Forsyth, Guy Pittman and Thad D. Mitchell, hermits. Carlisle Garlitz, deputy grand commander, was installing officer. McKenzie was installing marshal and Fred G. Stewart P. C. was installing prelate.
