Stanford Steeles Mark 50 Years of Marriage Mr. and Mrs. Standford Steele, 2621 Wilkinson, celebrated their 50th anniversary with a luncheon and family reunion at noon Saturday in Glen Garden Country Club. Mrs. Steele was Miss Ida Matilda Cathriner when the couple married in 1909. She is a native of Brenham, and attended Blinn Memorial College. Here husband was born in Iredell, and is the son of the late Rev. and Mrs. John R. Steele. Rev. Mr. Steele was a Methodist minister. Mr. and Mrs. Standford Steele have resided in Fort Worth since 1920. Before his retirement, he was associated with the Stafford-Lowdon Company for 35 years. The couple have two daughtersMrs. A. V. Lewis, 4509 Trail Lake Drive, and Mrs. Evelyn Hollinsworth, 5015 Pershing; and three sons, Stanford Steels Jr. of Houston, J. H. Bob Steele, 4421 Strong, and Richard Steele, 4213 Ridgecrest Circle.
