Technical Sergeant Barton J. Yates checks the patch board of the new Carswell Strategic Communications Relay Center Thursday as the new communications hub went into operation. The board is used to change circuiting of messages in an emergency. The CAFB strategic Communications Relay Center is operated by the 2048th Airways and Air Communications Service Squadron.
