Description

One of four sites that will ring the Fort Worth-Dallas area to provide an air defense umbrella over an 80,000-square-mile area in North Texas. The men in the photo from left to right are, General William Whipple, Southwestern division engineer, Army Corps of Engineers at Dallas, Mayor Jack Bryson of Denton, Congressman Ikard of Wichita Falls, and Colonel Leslie J. Staub, commander of the 4th Region, Army Air Defense Command at Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base.
