Description
The sleek and mighty B-58 Hustler donned its Air Force :blues" for the first time. Transition from civil to military status for the world's first and fastest supersonic bomber came in a brief sun baked ceremony on the sprawling airstrip in front of the Carsell Air Force Base operations headquarters. In the picture, Gen. Nils O. Ohman, Maj. Leon W. Amons, B. G. Reeds, Col. David M. Jones, and Marion L. Hicks.
