Description

Knights of Columbus Give Widow Chalice - "Because he was a good and faithful knight and a loyal and persevering Catholic gentleman, husband, father and worker" a chalice was presented to Mrs. Walter W. Sullivan of 2932 Lipscomb in memory of her husband Wednesday night. The presentation was made by Dan G. Douglass for General Worth General Assembly, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, at a dinner at the KC Hall at 904 Collier. Mrs. Sullivan accepted the chalice, and in turn presented it to Rev. Stiglitz, O.F.M., for his church, St. Peter's, in White Settlement. Sullivan, an executive of Gulf Oil Company and a Fort Worth resident since 1924, died April 20. "The soul of our departed brother, Sir Knight Walter Sullivan," said Father Stiglitz, "will be remembered whenever a mass is said with this chalice." Gerald Kizer, faithful captain of the Fourth Degree, presided at the dinner.
