Description
Speechless Patients Aided by Cards From Convair - For the patient who has lost the power of speech, Fort Worth hospitals have now been given a simple method by which such a person can make his wishes known. Convair Recreation Association has donated cards on which 16 items are printed. When a patient needs something, he points to the appropriate item on the card. They list such needs as "hungry," "thirsty," "head up," "head down." Funds for the card came out of the CRA welfare fund. Harris, St. Joseph's and All Saints are among hospitals putting the cards to use.
