Description
James H. Snowden, president of Casa Manana Musicals, Inc., was named the "Citizen of the Year" and honored at the Civitan Club luncheon Tuesday at Hotel Texas. In making a plaque presentation, Jack Norton, club president, cited Snowden for his leadership in bringing about the new Casa Manana. "The selection of the recipient for an 'outstanding citizen award' is in most instances not an easy task," Norton noted. "The committee charged with this responsibility mst explore many avenues of endeavor... however, the Civitan committee's task this year was an easy one, for in spite of the numerous individuals reviewed, one name remained unquestionably significant. One man had quite obviously gone 'beyond the call of duty' to build a better city - to bring culture and much needed first class entertainment to Fort Worth."
