12 New Staff Member Arrive for Duty at USPHS Hospital - The arrival of 12 new staff members at the U. S. Public Health Service Hospital, two of whom will participate in the newly established dental interne program there, was announced Saturday by Dr. John A. Trautman, medical officer in charge. The other 10 men are medical doctors. Four physicians have been added to the staff. The other doctors are replacements for staff members who have been transferred or left the service. The new staff members are now going through a period of orientation at the hospital. They include Dr. George E. Parkhurst, who will serve as a medical director and chief of the narcotic addicts service. He is from Kingman, Kansas and a graduate of the University of Missouri. Dr. Warren P. Jurgensen of Sioux City, Iowa, a Creighton University graduated, will servce as deputy chief in the neuro-psychiatric branch. The other doctors, all of whom will be on staffs of either the addicts or neuro-psychiatric services are: Dr. Bertram Pepper of New York, New York Univeristy; Dr. Martin L. Megdal, New York University and the University of Leiden in the Netherlands; Dr. Raymond D. Satterwhite of Dallas, the University of Texas, and Dr. Herbert E. McGrew of White Plains, New York, McGill University at Montreal. Also Dr. Martin H. Jansen of Altoona, Pennsylvania, University of Buffalo; Dr. Harold D. Fain of Weatherford, University of Texas; Dr. Conrad R. Williams of Louisville, Kentucky, the University of Louisville, and Dr. E. Paul Gander of Allenton, Wisconsin, Marquette University. The two dentists are Dr. William M. Hardy of Springdale, Utah, and Dr. Frederick L. Strammer of St. Petersburg, Florida, who finished at Emory University.
