Description
In a small soundproof room at the Fort Worth Heart Laboratory, a new dimension is being added in heart diagnosis. Its effectiveness has been shown in 120 cases now, placing the laboratory among the relatively few diagnostic centers in the nation making practical application of this advanced procedure. Just as the electrocadiogram (ECG) gives doctors a one-dimensional look at the electrical activity of the heart, the vector-cardiogram provides a three-dimensional view. Though there's no threat of the ECG being replaced, the vector-cardiogram has proved at the heart laboratory that it can provide, in some cases, information unobtainable by other diagnostic techniques.
