Note intense expression on Jim Simpson's face as he tries for birdie on second hole of Men's West Texas semi-finals match with Claude Blackwell at Glen Garden Country Club. Jim missed, however, and later lost to Blackwell, 4-2. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, June 11, 1950.
