Sidney Silodor of Philadelphia, Today's No. 2 ranking bridge player in America, was the picture of icy calm and cool self-confidence Thursday morning as he waited for the Republic of Texas Regional Tournament to begin. Play started at 1:30 pm in Hotel Texas. Silodor ranks nationally only behind Charles Goren in the number of master points. He's the top player in the tournament here.
