Description
Reverend J. C. Smith. was born at Rockwall and completed high school there in 1932. He was graduated from Central College at McPherson, Kansas, in 1937, first served as assistant pastor of the Free Methodist Church at Rockwall. He was assigned his first pastorate in 1939 at League City, where he served for 18 months. Subsequently, he served churches at Hemphill, Rockwall, McAllen, and Corpus Christi before coming to the local church.
