Here are three of the students who received awards at McLean Junior High School Thursday. Left to right, Steve Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Smith of 2601 Hartwood; Sally Morgan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Morgan of 3237 Sandage, and Gus Tom Bates, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Bates Jr., of 2413 Colonial Parkway. Smith and Miss Morgan got American Legion awards. Bates received a DAR award.
