Description
Lightning shattered the southwest corner of the elevator penthouse on the seven-story Bible Baptist Seminary dormitory at 408 Taylor, scattering rubble on the roof. A brick dislodged by the bolt hit W. J. Schwaner, 58, of 3715 Shelby and cut his leg. This view from the penthouse roof shows part of the city's skyline through the lightning-made gap in the masonry. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening edition, May 30, 1950.
