George R. Rightmire, 2230 Washington, Texas Christian University senior, receives his second lieutenant's commission in the Marine Corps Reserve from Captain Hollis W. Smith, Bowie, as Dr. M. E. Sadler, Texas Christian University president, and Major C. F. Achenbach, Dallas, watch. The commission was under a new program for Marine reservists. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 31, 1950.
