Attending dedication of Lake Amon G. Carter, six miles southwest of Bowie, Wednesday were six old friends of the late Fort Worth publisher, Amon Carter. Left to right, Mose Johnson, Shorty Ryan, Tan Turner, Minnie Meacham Carter of Fort Worth, Texas, John Black, Virgil Brown, and R. J. Sandefur of Cleburne, Texas. The lake, now running over the spillway, is shown in the background. The men are wearing coats. Mrs. Carter is wearing a dark dress and hat. She is holding an umbrella.
