Description
Mansfield, Texas integration controversy: Fort Worth Sheriff Harlon Wright looks at effigy of an African American person found hanging across Mansfield's Main Street in protest to federal desegregation order to allow minorities to attend public schools. The Sheriff is wearing a hat and a suit. He is in a room where there are pictures hanging on the wall. There is a chair behind him. Resting against a sofa, there are two signs that read: "This negro tried to enter white school" and "This would be a horrible way to die."
