Members of Matthews Memorial Methodist Church surprised their pastor, Rev. Thomas Sterck, and his wife Tuesday night with a gift of silver service on their 25th wedding anniversary. W. Z. Leatherwood center, chairman of stewards, presented the gift to the couple on behalf of the church.
