Oil men in Snyder told a group of visiting Fort Worth business men where it was found in Scurry County. From left to right, Ben P. Monning, Amarillo Lawyer and oil man; C. T. McLaughlin, Snyder oil man rancher; Russell Brown of Washington, general counsel for the independent Petroleum Association of America; W. W. Rice, Fort Worth Stockyards Company, and C. E. Buchner of Tulsa, IPAA executive manager. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition May 25, 1950.
