    Description

    Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Roy, 2906 Rock Island, will celebrate 50 years of married life at an open house at their home. Their children will be hosts. They are Messrs. and Mmes. Veral Roy, 6615 N. Onyx Dr., and George Pope, 4017 Piedmont. The former Miss Audie Parker of Millsap and Mr. Roy were married August 7, 1904, in the home of Reverend Ed Hill of the Red Mud community who still is living and was Mrs. Roy's teacher. They saw Reverend Mr. Hill at the Newberry School homecoming August 8. Mr. and Mrs. Roy lived for 41 years on the same farm near Millsap which his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Henry W. Roy had. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition August 15, 1954.
