Description
Ward C. Alcorn, one railroader who has spent a half-century career right in one place-Fort Worth, admits he is not much for travel. After 50 years on the railroad, you would think maybe he had gone sour on travel because he has had so much of it. But Alcorn says that is not true. He has been "switching" in the Peach Street Yards of the Rock Island Lines ever since 1908. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition August 11, 1954.
