Description
A tall, stately blond was crowned queen, a speaker fainted from the heat and several hundred farmers looked over orchards and vineyards to highlight activity at the Montague Grape Festival. Named queen of the festival was attractive Edna Cordell, 17- year old graduate of Newport High School, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. E Cordell. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition August 6, 1954.
