Colorfully costumed members of the Texas department of the American Legion marched in parade through downtown Fort Worth. Watching the parade are, left to right, seventh, State Legion Commander L. E. Page of Carthage, Major General John D. Montgomery of Carswell Air Force Base, Claude Latson, parade chairman, Mayor Deen and Dr. W. J. Danforth. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition July 31, 1954.
