    Stewart Hellman, parade chairman, points out the route of march for the American Legion parade on the opening day of its state convention. Mounted is Sergeant Noble Shepherd, drillmaster of the motorcycle precision drill team who will participate in the parade, and standing is Lieutenant Edward Lee, commander of the American Legion Police Post No. 239. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition July 27, 1954.
