    Bob Hamby, 19, of Westover, brought the first load of 1950 wheat to Fort Worth from the J. T. Martin farm in Baylor County. The 500-bushel truck load was purchased at $2.05 per bushel by Temple Hay and Grain Company. Market price was $2. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, May 24, 1950.
