    Sammie Thomas, 9, son of Mrs. Pearl Thomas of 317 North Cherry, was one of 4,000 children who started taking the last of the Salk polio vaccine shots here. Sammie shows his Polio Pioneer card while Mrs. Jack Jennings, immediate past president of the Peter Smith School P-TA, pins his completion button on his collar.
