Description
Applications of electronics in the development of products, whether they be faster-than-sound airplanes or planetary telescopes, is bringing the products into use perhaps a generation sooner that could have been possible under previous methods. Carl Dannencfelser, general supervisor of inventory control at Convair, gave members of Fort Worth chapter, National Machine Accountants Association, that picture of accelerated progress when he spoke at the NMAA dinner meeting at Worth Hotel. A large measure of these speed-up processes can be credited to the application of the electronics in the operation of accounting machines, Dannenfelser said. It is making the accountant trained in these methods. The chapter installed its new officers, headed by John R. Shaw of Commercial Standard Insurance Company as president. He succeeded Lee S. Dornhecker. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition June 11, 1954.
