    Mrs. R. L. Truitt, representing the Harmony Club, hands to Albert Gillespie a check for $1,344, the proceeds of a recent benefit recital sponsored by the club to enable the pianist to study and concertize in Europe. Mrs. Truitt, sponsor of the Junior Harmony Club, started Gillespie n his public career by presenting him as a youth on programs of her club. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition Jun 13, 1954.
